His first job was in a small, 3-1/2 person division of a local building material supply company in Athens Georgia. Paul was struck by the pleasant folks who periodically stopped by to talk about new products and update catalogs.
Paul remained on the distribution end of doors and hardware for over 14 years, working in the Atlanta Georgia market, the Northwestern Florida market, and finally ending up in the Seattle-Tacoma area.
Diving in as a manufacturer’s representative
In 2010, Paul began thinking of new possibilities. This eventually lead to the opportunity to work with Hager Companies. Paul had always been impressed with Hager reps, and the extraordinary level of customer service he'd received as a Hager customer, so was happy and honored to become a Hager Rep himself.
Those first reps that Paul dealt with as a customer still drive the values he strives to bring — responsiveness; personal service; experience and product knowledge; and creative problem-solving.
Jill Gile joined CBA Group NW in June 2015 after a brief flirtation with the world of science. Life as a lab rat paled in comparison to being first an Architectural Specifications Rep, where she got to talk to people and bring free food, then the challenges of a Specialties Consultant, the position she currently holds as Estimator. Since joining CBA Group, Jill has earned both her CSI CDT and LEED GA credentials. Now she enjoys cornering people at parties to tell them about door closers, green construction and the joys of counting widgets.
A Northwest original herself, Kim grew up enjoying the scenic beauty of the Puget Sound area. Life took Kim around the US and Asia before bringing her back to the Sound, and into the world of doors. Working in the industry since 2001, Kim worked in distribution both in administration and project management. She now runs Operations (meaning everything no one else does). While out with her family Kim has been known to check out interesting door hardware, especially if it involves embarrassing her now grown kids. There’s nothing like a pretty surface vertical rod.
Sandra is an invaluable member of the team, who has worked with Paul since day one and actually worked with Hager Companies since 2008. She moved to the metropolis of Toledo (The Gateway to Mt. St. Helens – population: 738) Washington in September of 2005, from Jump River (population: 30) Wisconsin. There, she lives with 2 cats, 2 dogs, a horse, a cow, and a husband on their farm outside of Toledo. She IS the person who keeps the Hager estimating fires burning while the team is off meeting the needs of the territory.
Jen's trained eye and quick wit bring a unique perspective to the office, and her industrious nature makes her a valuable addition as our team grows. Jen's talents were developed early at our own Tacoma School of the Arts, and she’s honed those skilled over the past 10 years. Her experience has made her the perfect resource for not just photo work but additional administrative work as well. Our go to Gal!
